They are designed for ease of use for both credentialed users and visitors. You can choose a single credential type, or select multi-factor authentication for enhanced security where two credentials are required; the administrator can designate which combination of card, PIN, mobile, or Cloud Key credentials to use. PIN codes can be automatically generated to simplify the process for routine PIN updates.
The readers are built to last, with durable, capacitive touch keypads that prevent wear and tear and spoofing. The cloud-based devices allow remote unlock and PIN-activated Lockdown and are backward compatible with third-party access systems through a mobile gateway. These multi-technology readers support both low (125 kHz) and high (13.56 MHz) frequencies. The system is fast and reliable due to Avigilon Alta’s patented Triple Unlock using Bluetooth, WiFi and mobile data.
