They will initially try and fix the issue remotely but if necessary they will visit and make an on site repair. Sometimes they may need to replace certain equipment if it cannot be repaired on site, should this happen our engineer will ensure that he does not compromise your system and leaves it functioning.

Wireless alarms use battery-powered sensors that communicate with a control panel using radio signals. The main benefit of this system is that they are quicker to install as we do not need to run wires around your property. You will need batteries for all components, such as the control panel and all detectors but with modern systems these should last at least five years.

Wired systems, on the other hand, need wires running to each of the detectors to work. They will take longer to install as we take our time to ensure the wires are hidden and properly fitted. You will also need a back-up battery in the main control panel and the external siren battery which will require changing approximately every five years.

Depending on your property you may decide on a hybrid intruder alarm system. For a large building we would recommend a wired system but if you additionally want your intruder alarm system to stretch to outbuildings or wider areas on your system we can extend its range by using wireless detectors so you gain the advantages from both type of system.

Yes, the telecommunications company BT, took the decision to close down its subsidiary, BT Redcare, in February 2024. BT Redcare had grown to become the largest alarm signalling provider but BT decided it was no longer a core part of its business model. It was due to close on 1st August 2025 but this was pushed back to 15th December 2025. We can offer alternative digital alarm signalling options from CSL via HKC and Orisec.

Once an activation signal is sent to the monitoring centre, for example, an intruder alarm being triggered, the monitoring team carefully filter activations to sort which alerts are false alarms and which alarms require a police response.

Additionally, the CCTV systems which we install can be issued with an URN. We will ensure that your system will meet the requirements needed for you to have a police response if it is needed.

Orisec is a CSL Connected Partner which means critical connectivity with your chosen alarm panel and the added option of an end-user app. There are a range of  Orisec control panels we can install that are fitted with a CM2 module combined with CSL’s Critical Connectivity platform which will provide full ARC communications and access to Orisec’s Control Plus app.
