We are delighted that leading security magazines and a regional business publication have published stories on Ecl-ips achieving National Security Inspectorate (NSI) Gold status, after having been an NSI Silver approved firm since 2010.
Success covered in business and security magazines
The story was covered by the Professional Security Magazine Online, which claims to be the biggest security magazine in the UK: https://www.professionalsecurity.co.uk/news/commercial-security/nsi-gold-2/ .
PSI magazine, which is aimed at installers, specifiers and designers of electronic security and fire solutions also reported on our achievement: https://www.psimagazine.co.uk/nsi-gold-status-achievement-for-ecl-ips/.
Additionally, Business & Innovation Magazine, which is published online and as a bi-monthly publication focusing on business stories across Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and North Wiltshire, covered our news: https://www.businessinnovationmag.co.uk/security-firm-ecl-ips-achieves-nsi-gold-status/.
Quality Management System required to achieve NSI Gold
As reported by the business and security magazines, and in our recent blog, to achieve NSI Gold, we had to demonstrate that Ecl-ips operates a Quality Management System (QMS) and this QMS is compliant with the BS EN ISO 9001:2015 Standard. A management system is intended to provide ‘A proven framework for managing and continually improving an organisation’s policies, procedures and processes.’ Implementing a QMS, as we have discovered, affects every aspect of an organisation’s performance. An independent auditor spent several days with us checking our QMS and the audit included visiting external client sites to ensure all procedures were being followed correctly. The NSI said this is as demanding as any Approval in the security and fire sectors in which it operates, and is recognised by industry, the police, fire and rescue services and insurers, and other stakeholders.
The stories featured the picture of Angela Price, Business Support Co-Ordinator and Darren Roe, Operations Director at Ecl-ips who were the leaders of the project for Ecl-ips to become NSI Gold compliant.
