The Ecl-ips team enjoys working on challenging projects and properties. We are always delighted when the customer appreciates our work too. We have been working with the security staff at a country estate set in hundreds of acres of English countryside for the last two years installing a CCTV system right across the property.
The Head of Security at the private retreat has recorded a video testimonial highlighting the way the Avigilon CCTV system has been successfully used to provide security to the family, health and safety monitoring for the building sites at the property as well as supporting the children’s nannies to safeguard the children when they are out in the extensive grounds.
As the Head of Security at the property explains in the video the estate is made up of multiple buildings, multiple locations and farms. Ecl-ips has therefore had to develop a bespoke solution to meet the range of needs of the site as it has been renovated and developed.
Challenges our engineers have faced include how and where to position and mount some of the cameras because the property is grade 1 listed and we needed to be sympathetic to a historical building. In this case, the Ecl-ips engineers were able to adapt to this and installed one of the cameras in a tree. Additionally, having clear images was very important in many areas and so Avigilon H4 IR PTZ and H4A infrared bullet cameras were fitted.
The H4A bullet cameras on the main drive have been fitted with automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) technology. Hydraulic bollards have also been installed which connect to the Avigilon CCTV system. The ANPR capability means that a white list of number plates can be created so that the barriers open automatically while those not on the list communicate with the security personnel via an Avigilon H4 Video Intercom.
The video demonstrates the power of the Avigilon PTZ cameras, which can be used to their full potential, on a country estate of such a large size, as well as showing the bollards and the entry system in action.
