If you have a large property with extensive grounds – whether this is a hotel, residential or commercial building, then providing protection from intruders can be challenging.
For example, the perimeter could be breached in a number of ways: fences can be cut or trees could be climbed if an intruder is determined to enter the property.
In our projects for high-net-worth individuals we have gained expertise in the latest technology providing perimeter protection. This technology uses fibre optic cables to detect intruders. The fence-mounted cables can be attached to any type of fence to detect and pinpoint the location of disturbances including cutting, climbing and lifting.
Fibre optic sensors work by transmitting light through the glass core of a cable, travelling by reflecting off the casing. Controllers, rack mounted in server rooms or IT spaces, emit and receive laser light and apply complex algorithms to detect and identify intrusion type and location.
These controllers convert the light into a signal to trigger an alarm, and can use computer logic to ensure it is not a false alarm first. Monitoring software allows this information to be displayed in real-time so security personnel can take action quickly if an intrusion is detected.
This software can be integrated with video surveillance platforms so that the security of the property can be managed more easily and staff can respond to potential perimeter breaches.
Providing comprehensive property protection
In addition to the cables, strategically placed surveillance cameras around the perimeter of your property and your buildings, is ideal if property owners need additional protection. Bullet cameras, which can be on-premise or cloud-based, can be used to view the length of a perimeter while PTZ cameras are effective at capturing long-distance images and wide angles.
We offer the Avigilon Unity video surveillance platform along with H6A and H6X cameras. Amongst other analytical features the cameras are able to detect somebody crawling so is ideal for providing perimeter protection.
