Being able to adapt to the requirements of a building and the surrounding property when fitting a CCTV system is something Ecl-ips is particularly proud about.
Although we predominantly work with businesses, schools and other organisations to meet their security, safe-guarding and health and safety requirements some private properties need the high-resolution CCTV systems that we supply.
In 2018 we began a new installation of Avigilon CCTV cameras, and a server fitted with the Avigilon Control Center software, on a private retreat set in hundreds of acres of English countryside. The first cameras were installed around the main building to provide security for the new owner and family. The cameras can alert staff to intruders and use AI to identify people.
One of the main challenges Ecl-ips faced was how and where to position and mount some of the cameras because the property is grade 1 listed and we needed to be sympathetic to a historical building. However, the Ecl-ips engineers were able to adapt to this and installed one of the cameras in a tree. Providing powerful cameras and clear images was very important in many areas and so Avigilon H4 IR PTZ and H4A infrared bullet cameras have been fitted.
After this first installation more cameras were added along the main drive of the property and also around the estate and a builders’ compound. The property is currently undergoing a major renovation and so there are contractor vehicles and equipment stored there which need to be kept secure.
The cameras on the main drive have been fitted with automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) technology. Hydraulic bollards are also going to be installed which will connect to the Avigilon CCTV system. The ANPR capability means that a white list of number plates can be created so that the barriers will open automatically while those not on the list will have to communicate with the security personnel via an Avigilon H4 Video Intercom.
Ecl-ips is looking forward to a long-term relationship with the owner of the estate and to be able to meet any additional requirements they may need. If you have an unusual building or requirement why not contact us to see how we can adapt our CCTV solutions to meet your needs.
