Customer: Rural property owner needing to secure a cottage and outbuildings

Requirement: There is building work planned for this property so it was important to have it secured against intruders.
Solution: Ecl-ips recommended the HKC SecureHub kit and additional sensors. The kit includes the grade 2 wireless alarm panel; 4 x PIRs; I x Door Contact; 1 x Bell box. The intruder alarm system has Dual Path transmission to an ARC which means if one line fails there is a back-up.

Providing protection for a range of buildings
The cottage needed protecting as it is currently not being lived in. The main property, and the surrounding land, are on a proposed building site so could be vulnerable to intrusion.
A modern easy-to-monitor intruder alarm solution was required. Ecl-ips installed a HKC SecureHub grade 2 wireless alarm. At installation the HKC SecureHub was connected to the property’s wi-fi network.
Once connected the control panel integrates with HKC’s cloud platform so the owner is able to access and manage the alarm system via its SecureComm smartphone app. To ensure the internet connection is not lost the panel is equipped with integrated 4G/LTE radio as back-up.
Ecl-ips used the HKC SecureHub kit which includes 1 RF Touch keypad; 1 door contact Sensor and 4 PIR Detectors as well as additional sensors to build up the complete intruder alarm system. One of the PIRs was located by the SecureHub itself to protect this device, and the three others were placed around the house. The keypad was placed at the front door which was secured with the door contact sensor. An external bell box was also installed.
Additionally, there is a garage and summerhouse, between 10 and 20 metres away from the cottage. Two PIRs and a door contact were located in the garage while a door contact was installed to protect the summerhouse. These were able to be connected to the HKC SecureHub to create an integrated intruder alarm system.
As the property owner is not always on site being able to manage the system remotely via the SecureComm app is invaluable. The app allows users to set and unset the alarm and well as to receive notifications if the alarm is triggered or there are technical problems.
Meanwhile Ecl-ips is also able to monitor the intruder alarm system via the SecureComm cloud platform which allows our engineers to check the system health and fix some issues remotely.
The alarm panel can support up to 70 wireless devices so we can now expand on the intruder alarm system if required. The other types of detectors that can be connected include panic buttons as well as smoke, heat and carbon monoxide sensors.

To give customers peace of mind we can offer a range of support and maintenance contracts. We would support this property owner out of hours if necessary and attend on site if required. We always provide annual on-site maintenance visits.

- notify nominated keyholders
- notify a linked keyholding service and/or
- notify the Police in the event of a confirmed alarm signal if you choose this option.
Result: The property has a comprehensive wireless and remotely monitored intruder alarm system.
Benefit: Having a Dual Path, flexible and cloud-based intruder alarm system that includes outbuildings without using any wires has been of great benefit on this challenging site.
