We have two intruder alarm partners that allow us to design and install bespoke systems that fit the needs of commercial and large residential property owners.
HKC Security, an Irish manufacturer that has expanded into the UK, and British company Orisec both provide cloud software to help us support customers remotely and allowing clients to manage their systems via apps. The alarm systems from HKC and Oriec can only be fitted by professional installers like Ecl-ips. This gives you peace of mind that they will be installed properly and will be effective, especially as we are an NSI-Gold certified company.
Orisec offers elderly care feature
Lancashire-based Orisec claims to be the fastest growing UK manufacturer and distributor of intruder alarm equipment. As an Orisec partner we benefit from its technical support and training as well as access to its mobile engineer app. This means we have a remote connection to all cloud connected sites and can easily diagnose intruder alarm system problems and carry out remote maintenance sites. If required, however, Ecl-ips engineers will go to customer sites to fix alarm issues or carry out system checks. For end users we can offer Orisec’s ControlPlus app, allowing for control of the intruder alarm system.
Additionally, if clients opt to have an Orisec intruder alarm system that connects to the ControlPlus App we can also offer its elderly care feature. Once the system is up and running, we can programme it to warn relatives, friends or neighbours if there is no activity within a zone or for any specified length of time. For example, if an elderly parent fails to open a bedroom door in the morning, or enter well-used rooms such as the kitchen by a certain time the designated contacts can be notified.
If other solutions are needed to help protect your elderly relative, we can also install panic buttons and other detectors, such as for smoke, that can be linked to the app and again provide notifications. Panic buttons could, for instance, be placed on a skirting board in a living room, to provide a way to notify people in the event of a fall. Once a notification is received the relative or friend can phone the home owner to find out what has happened and whether they need to call round, or to seek further assistance, if they cannot travel to the house themselves.
HKC launches SecureHub
Meanwhile, HKC Security was established in Ireland in 1990, and has a UK base in Willenhall near Wolverhampton. Since 2018 it has been part of the Swedish access control and door locking group, Assa Abloy. Last year it launched the HKC SecureHub, a Grade 2 wireless alarm panel which we can offer as a kit that also includes an RF Touch Keypad; Mini Contact Sensor and 4 PIR Detectors. This allows us to provide a complete cloud-based intruder alarm system for commercial which can be remotely monitored if necessary. Find out more about how we have installed the panel and sensors at a rural property in Worcestershire in this case study.
Using Orisec and HKC products we can develop the best intruder alarm system to meet client’s needs. For Worcestershire-based Cattani Esam (UK) we installed a designed and installed a Grade 2 intruder alarm system that included a HKC 10270 Control Panel, as well as HKC internal and external sounders. Within the premises we installed a mix of Orisec dual technology detectors, which incorporate passive infra-red and microwave sensors, and twin movement detectors, to ensure the sensors covered all the areas needed. A Grade 3 surface mounted magnetic door contact was also fitted to maximise security.
Intruder alarm partners allow us to offer effective solutions
We are based in Worcestershire and operate across the West Midlands. Before we install an intruder alarm, our surveyors will visit the premises to assess and review requirements since each alarm system is unique.
