Congratulations to the Ecl-ips Operations Team who have once again gained the firm’s annual SafeContractor accreditation. We have now clocked up six years of accreditation having been Safecontractor approved since 2015.
Our Commitment to You
Being SafeContractor accredited means we are on an approved list of contractors who are Health & Safety accredited, reducing the risks to our customers. The accreditation demonstrates that our health and safety documentation is up to date and meets recognised industry standards.
This seal of approval from SafeContractor, which is run by the Alcumus Group, means we join 3,000 other contractors that are part of the accreditation scheme. The Alcumus Group specialises in health and safety auditing and training.
Ecl-ips is committed to meeting the highest standards of health and safety when our engineers go out to and work on client sites. We have also adjusted our working practices to continue to work safely during the continuing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. To this end we have ensured that we are meeting the UK Government guidelines on making sure our work place is Covid Secure.
Managing Safely Qualified
The Managing Director of Ecl-ips, Aaron Kernaghan, Operations Director, Darren Roe and Senior Engineer, Stephen Gilbert (pictured) have also recently updated their health and safety knowledge by undertaking and passing the refresher course for the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health’s (IOSH) Managing Safely Qualification. The course was provided by Three Spires Safety.
The Managing Safely course is designed for managers and supervisors in any sector, and any organisation. This course helps them get up-to-speed on the practical actions they need to take and gain the knowledge and tools to tackle the safety and health issues they are responsible for. Importantly, Managing Safely makes the powerful case for safety and health being an essential part of their job.
Knowing that our managers have received this training also gives peace of mind to customers because they have received training that’s designed and quality-controlled by the IOSH, the Chartered body for safety and health professionals.
