Malcolm Drizen has joined Ecl-ips as Business Development Manager supporting the Managing Director, Aaron Kernaghan, and the rest of the sales and marketing team.
Malcolm has been in field sales for over 25 years and he loves nothing more than walking round industrial estates knocking on doors and talking to people about how he can help their business.
He said, “I get a lot of rejection but I never let that get to me and it becomes all worthwhile when I’m invited in for a chat over a cup of coffee (and hopefully a biscuit!), and gradually build the rapport to get a deal.”
He has worked in several industries over the years including telecoms, waste disposal, aluminium extrusion and has been helping businesses with their security solutions for the past two years. Malcolm is going to bring his experience along to Ecl-ips and inform more local firms about the security and monitoring solutions we can provide from partners such as Avigilon, Paxton and APC.
His knowledge of the businesses landscape locally provides an extra boost to the sales and marketing team of Ecl-ips to complement the networking skills of sales and marketing executive Nicky Ayers and the digital marketing work of Karen Uppal.
Outside of work Malcolm, who lives in Bromsgrove, is married to Christine, has three children, two step-children and seven grandchildren. In his spare time, he likes writing stories and poetry (you will find examples of his writing if you check out Amazon and YouTube), painting (pictures not decorating), acting, and sport (although just watching these days). Malcolm’s claims to fame are that, playing football in goal, he once saved a penalty taken by Kevin Keegan, and he has sung (badly!) on prime-time television.
If you are a local business you may soon get to meet Malcolm or if you want to know more about the security, access control and real-time monitoring solutions we provide contact us.
