SafeContractor accreditation achieved again for 2023

We show commitment to Health & Safety compliance

SafeContractorSafeContractor

We have reaffirmed our commitment to meeting health and safety standards, and ensuring the safety of our staff at work, by achieving the SafeContractor accreditation once again. We have gained our accreditation each year since 2015.

The accreditation includes our access control and CCTV installation and maintenance work. This covers activities our engineers may do as part of their work including using ladders, mobile elevated working platforms and equipment requiring isolation from the electrical supply to be made safe.

SafeContractor status puts us on an approved list

By being SafeContractor approved we can show our clients that our health and safety documentation is up to date and meets recognised industry requirements. We are on an approved list of contractors who are Health & Safety accredited, reducing the risks to our customers.

When we tender for work as a SafeContractor we can also prove to potential clients that Ecl-ips can demonstrate its commitment to health and safety and meets the legal requirements in this area. SafeContractor has more than 480 clients, who can access the web portal showing accredited contractors.

The SafeContractor accreditation is run by the Alcumus Group which supports Ecl-ips, and the other 35,000 contractors that are part of the accreditation scheme. It is a Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) accreditation that collects and verifies information across health, safety, financial and ethical practices including specific areas such as permits to work at height, or hazardous material handling.

SSIP assessments are all judged on core criteria approved by HSE. These core criteria describe what it means for a business to comply with basic health and safety law. Our health and safety documentation was compared against the SafeContractor Charter Standards which set outs the health and safety standards required to achieve accreditation.

Commitment to a high standard of work and quality products

We are committed to providing quality products and a high standard of work. Our Managing Director of Ecl-ips, Aaron Kernaghan, Operations Director, Darren Roe and Technical Manager Stephen Gilbert have also obtained the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health’s (IOSH) Managing Safely Qualification.

Our engineers have received the appropriate training and qualifications for the job they do on site meeting the standards of the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS). Their ECS cards prove their qualification status, main electrical occupation, identity, health and safety awareness, as well as any additional disciplines in which they are skilled to work.

Additionally as a company we are NSI Gold certified which also means we are compliant with the ISO 9001 quality management system.

If you want the peace of mind that you are employing a company that takes health and safety seriously when installing access control, intruder alarms and CCTV, which could also be used to help you with your health and safety compliance, then we would be delighted to discuss what we have to offer.  Please get in touch.
