If you are looking for a cost-effective CCTV recording solution for a small site with two or three cameras – whether that is domestic, retail, or another small premises that may not be staffed – then the Avigilon Edge Solution (ES) 8-port Appliance will be ideal for you.
It is literally ready to use from the box thanks to its secure Linux-based firmware and the built-in web endpoint technology that means we can set up mobile connections straight away. With the optional Avigilon Control Center (ACC) 7 Video Analytics Channel licenses it will extend self-learning video analytics to any IP video surveillance camera and analogue encoders which would strengthen the power of your CCTV system in an instant.
Crucially, unlike the previous Edge appliance which came pre-loaded with eight Enterprise licences, you only need to buy licences for the numbers of cameras you actually have, up to eight, which means this is a more cost-effective solution than ever before. For added convenience once installed you can then manage the CCTV of your site remotely using Avigilon Cloud Services which comes as part of your ACC 7 licence.
Our Senior Engineer Stephen Gilbert, says: “This is a brilliant little bit of kit. It’s everything wrapped into one so it’s got a built-in switch to do your networking so you can just plug in directly into this, you don’t have to have a separate network for them.
“It works seamlessly out of the box with Avigilon Cloud Services, so straight out of the box you sign up and get everything through to your mobile phone and you can do it from anywhere in the world. You don’t actually have to be at home to see your cameras.”
