The shorter, darker days of winter and the longer nighttime are likely to make you more concerned about security around your premises.

Ensuring that you have cameras that are up to the task of capturing movement of people and vehicles around your site at night is important if you want to be completely confident about security on your site. The right cameras could protect you in cases of trespass or vandalism around your business premises or at the perimeter of your property where there may be hedges or foliage.

Avigilon thermal camera can ‘see’ in the dark

The Avigilon range of cameras provide great solutions for businesses to ensure that incidents are not missed if they happen during night time hours. The Avigilon H4 thermal camera can literally ‘see’ in the dark by combining thermal imaging and patented self -learning video analytics to provide brilliant detection and advanced performance.[/vc_column_text]

This thermal camera is a particularly accurate detector when it is able to communicate with the H4 PTZ camera. Using Avigilon’s software you can request the camera to zoom in on the subject automatically. Within the ACC area you are able to select the camera you wish to control, then on the toolbar at the top you select ‘PTZ controls’. This produces a square in the screen that you move with your mouse. By using the click and drag function you are able to control the camera. This video shows how you can zoom into an object and gain a clear image even 60 metres away.

Alternatively, the Avigilon H4 Infrared (IR) PTZ Camera allows users to see up to 250 metres in complete darkness thanks to its powerful zoom lens and IR technology. The Avigilon H4 IR PTZ is a high-resolution outdoor PTZ camera that automatically adjusts the IR projection angle according to zoom and field of view, this ensures that the scene is illuminated according to the camera zoom level.

Producing Exceptional Images

The camera also benefits from Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), image stabilisation and Avigilon patented LightCatcher technology, thus providing exceptional images in a wide range of applications and environments.

Our Ecl-ips engineers are experienced installers of Avigilon cameras and have extensive knowledge of the Avigilon Control Center software.
