Ecl-ips understands that designing and installing security systems is about more than just the intruder alarms. Indeed we will always consider all elements of protecting your property such as the installation of CCTV or an electronic access control system. The key areas we need to think about are:
- The size and type of the property or site being protected
- Whether you need perimeter intrusion protection beyond the buildings
- How the system will be monitored
- Whether you need to consider external monitoring
Modern Security and Monitoring Systems: Designed for your needs
Intruder Alarms
Ecl-ips will provide you with a bespoke intruder alarm system that will ensure that you can keep your property and your assets safe. We provide intruder alarms for residential and commercial properties and can offer a range of options based on the nature of your property. Before we install an intruder alarm, our surveyors will visit the premises to assess and review requirements since each alarm system is unique. We will install a system that is designed for you and meets the requirements of the property and your insurance company. We can also link smoke, heat and carbon monoxide detectors to the intruder alarm system giving extra protection to your property and assets.
Modern cloud technology means that as well as the audible alarm there can be alerts triggered to provide messages or calls to mobile devices so that where ever you are you will know that there is a potential incident to deal with. Having an alarm, therefore, means that you have peace of mind that your property and assets are being protected.
Intruder Alarm Monitoring
A remotely monitored alarm sends signals to our 24/7 monitoring centre, also know as an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). Teams who work in our ARC can monitor a range of systems, including fire and intruder alarms, systems for monitoring elderly people, and CCTV cameras.
We are an NSI Gold-approved company which means all our intruder alarm systems must meet the necessary compliance standards. If you opt for a remotely monitored system our alarm ARC is also standards-compliant and our NSI accreditation means we can obtain a unique reference number (URN) for your system so you can receive a police response if required.
Once an activation signal is sent to our ARC, for example, an intruder alarm being triggered, the monitoring team carefully filter activations to sort which alerts are false alarms. In the event of a genuine alert, the ARC team contact the relevant emergency services on behalf of our clients who have an URN for their security system.
Perimeter protection
Perimeter protection is the first line in the defence to prevent an intruder entering your site. If you have a large private or commercial property keeping your perimeter secure can be a challenge. Perimeter security aims to protect people and assets within a property and its grounds from intruders by blocking unauthorised physical intrusions across its boundary. These can both be physical barriers, including bollards, gates and fences, and technological solutions that can detect intruders and alert property owners when a perimeter has been breached.
We provide a range of solutions to secure your perimeter giving you the peace of mind that you are fully protecting your property.

Strengthening your security systems: Remote Monitoring Options
The latest technology allows you, and us, to remotely monitor and manage your sites . While these solutions require you to have access to the internet it provides extra flexibility to ensure you are keeping your property secure. However, we would recommend external remote monitoring by an ARC for large or commercial properties especially if they contain high value assets.
- Intruder Alarms: the mobile apps offered by HKC and Orisec mean you can set and unset the alarm and receive notifications if the alarm is triggered. The cloud-based management platforms also mean we can provide remote support.
- CCTV: Avigilon Cloud Services and the ACC Mobile 3 app allow you to see the live and recorded views and manage your CCTV system remotely as well as have notifications set up to alert you to critical events. We can also log onto your CCTV system and see your camera views to support you with problems remotely.
- Access Control: We are able offer the capability of remote monitoring of your sites when we install the Paxton Access Control solutions, Net2 Pro and Paxton10. This allows you to access your access control platforms using Net2 Online or the Paxton Connect app. Additionally, the latest software update of Paxton10 allows you to manage multiple sites world-wide on one system. The remote monitoring tools also mean we can support you remotely so we can fix your problems more quickly and it will reduce the number of site visits required.
- ActiveCloud for Density Fog Generators: this allows you to manage your fog generator remotely allowing you to arm and disarm your system or shoot on demand– anytime, from any location. If you choose Ecl-ips we can manage the system for you using Active Cloud, including receiving automated reminders for servicing and maintenance to ensure you keep the fog generators in good condition.
Security Audit: How we can help you
We can advise you on the steps you can take to keep your business premises secure. These are principally, installing an intruder alarm system and, we would recommend in many circumstances, installing a CCTV system and effective electronic access control. If you already have security systems but they are not performing how you want them to we can recommend improvements.
As your business grows the need to improve and update your existing security arrangements is likely to grow too. Our engineers are able to review your existing security systems. We can offer advice on areas that might need to be upgraded with more modern equipment and can look at how to improve your security through integrated systems.
We can also work with developers and builders who are faced with challenging properties and need to find a complete security solution for a particular property. Drawing on our experience, we can provide practical and pragmatic advice on how to secure even the most problematic of sites. We will visit the property and conduct a thorough audit of its needs, including a security risk assessment, then outline details about the sort of products that could be installed to provide the required level of security.
